Do you also love those delicious granola bars that you can get at the super market? You know, the ones that have that delicious yoghurt coating, and are filled with dried fruits, and oats, and of coarse loads of sugar? Yeahh, I love those as well!! They are delicious but not very healthy, which is why I decided to try and make them myself!
Every month, the food blog swap is organized by several Dutch foodbloggers. The idea is that you make (and adapt) a recipe from another blogger that signed up. That way, you get to know more blogs (which is always fun), and try out someone else’s recipes. This month I decided to join for the first time, and I don’t regret it at all, because the blog I got assigned to is absolutely beautiful! It is called ‘Share love not secrets‘ by Dutchie Marleen, but she also blogs in English! Yay! Her photography style is absolutely wonderful, just as her recipes, so I would highly recommend you to take a look.
As you might have notices, I am currently on a cauliflower kick! A little while ago I already made this cheesy queso cauliflower dip, and now I have another super delicious recipe with cauliflower for you: sweet & fluffy cauliflower pancakes! Even though they are made with a ‘savory’ vegetable like cauliflower, these pancakes are actually not meant to be sweet. The trick is to lightly steam the cauliflower, and to make sure it is completely smooth before adding it to the batter.
Like the mango smoothie bowl I posted a little while ago, this is again such a simple recipe, that I almost didn’t dare to post it. But, I guess it is just something that I have to get used to, because two-ingredient recipes can be amazing and creative too!!
These brownies are heaven on earth! Fudgy, nutty and uber-chocolatey with a crunch from the walnuts. Yum! I know there are a lot of sweet potato brownie recipes out there, but this definitely is a keeper.
I posted the photo above on Instagram a little while ago, and it wasn’t until a few people asked for the recipe that I was convinced that I should post it on my blog, because it is so simple I felt it would be ridiculous to make a blogpost about it. But well, here we are! I guess easy recipes are what people like so here it is! So guys, thanks for the encouragement to post this! 🤗
This mango smoothie bowl only has 5 ingredients (okay, 6 if you count water too), and it is super simple to make. You can also replace the mango with any other fruit to make it into e.g. a banana and blueberry smoothie bowl, and I bet one with strawberries and raspberries must be delicious too! The trick to get a good smoothie bowl is to get the right consistency. And to top it with yummy things of course!
As some of you might know, I spent almost 3 months in Canada and the US during my blog hiatus. Before this trip I’d never had a cinnamon roll, can you believe it? Yeah, I’d heard of them, seen them on tv, and I also read about all sorts of people that raved about cinnamon rolls, but I never tried them. Cinnamon rolls are not really a thing in the Netherlands, which is why they are difficult to get if you’re not into making them yourself.
